It's Sunday night, and you had a whole long list of things you wanted to get to over the weekend. Instead you found yourself scrolling the days away on the couch, and online shopping for your next hyper-fixation hobby (with the to-do list left unchecked). I know what it's like because I've been there, too. I also know how helpful ADHD coaching can be!

So, What Exactly is ADHD Coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused partnership between you and a coach who helps you bridge the gap between knowing what you need to do and actually getting it done.
ADHD coaching is action-oriented. It helps you focus on your present challenges, exploring your goals, and creating practical strategies that will help you move forward. A good coach should meet you exactly where you're at, with no expectation of where you should be.
Some examples of ADHD related challenges that might be covered in ADHD coaching include: time management, organization, goal setting, maintaining focus, creating motivation, impulsivity and more!
What Can I Get Out of ADHD Coaching?
Every coaching session looks different based on what your current needs are. Here are a few examples of how you may choose to spend a session. No matter what, we will always work together to ensure you are getting what you came for!
Building personalized strategies. Because I know you've already seen a ton of generic tips and tricks on TikTok. We can build strategies around your specific challenges, your values, strengths, and what's gotten in the way before so we can get around it.
Managing overwhelm and ADHD paralysis. That frozen, stuck feeling where you know you need to start but your brain just... won't. Coaching helps you understand what's happening and develop tools to break through it.
Creating structure that works for your brain. We can look at routines, systems, and how you can hold yourself accountable in a way that doesn't feel like a punishment.
Strengthening self-compassion through understanding. This one is huge. So many ADHDers spend years believing they're lazy, irresponsible, or just not trying hard enough. Coaching helps dismantle that narrative and replace it with something a lot kinder (and a lot more accurate!)
Turning intentions into action. The coaching relationship itself provides the external accountability that ADHD brains often need. Knowing someone is in your corner (and that they will be checking in) can make a surprisingly big difference.
Who is ADHD Coaching For?
ADHD coaching can be a great fit if you:
Are a post-secondary student struggling to manage coursework, deadlines, and the general chaos of independent life
Are a young adult finding it hard to keep up with work, relationships, and day-to-day responsibilities
Feel like you're always playing catch-up no matter how hard you try
Have tried every planner, app, and productivity hack out there and nothing has stuck
Know what you need to do but keep getting stuck on actually doing it
Want support that goes beyond generic advice
BTW, you don't need a formal ADHD diagnosis to work with a coach. If you can relate to what you're reading, ADHD coaching can still be helpful!
