All about ADHD coaching

What is ADHD coaching?

Often ADHDers can feel overwhelmed, unsure of where to start, or frustrated with endless tips and tricks that just don’t stick.  Coaching can be a great next step when you’re ready for support with learning how to build a life that works with your ADHD.

ADHD coaching is a collaborative partnership where we explore how ADHD shows up uniquely for you, in your brain and your life.  Our work is future-focused and action-oriented, aiming to move you forward in whatever it is we work on.  Looking at your strengths and skills, we will create a transformation that feels authentic for you.  Building self-confidence, strategies, tools, systems and the ability to fully embrace who you are, as you are. I strive to facilitate these meaningful changes in a way that meets you where you’re at in a safe and manageable way.

What does a session look like?

Typically, you'll will bring a focus for the session that you would like to explore.  I understand that this may sound overwhelming!  Even if it's just a general sense that things are *chaotic* or *not vibing* with you, let's start there.  We will work together to peel back the layers of what's going on and figure out where to go from there.

Once we have the topic, we will discuss what it is you would like to take away from the session.  There are a lot of different ways this can look depending on the nature of the topic.  For example: an action plan, a new tool, breaking down the steps, an experiment to try, or more clarity around something.

Then we dive into the bulk of our session.  You'll be given space to talk and brainstorm while being asked the right questions to guide you on your own journey.   I believe you are the expert of your own life, and will always respect your individuality and autonomy in our sessions.  Sometimes limiting beliefs or other roadblocks come up that make it hard to see a way forward.  The coaching conversation is all about sifting through those things to get to where you truly want to be. If you are open to it, I may share some ADHD related information or resources as it becomes relevant.
