Hello! I'm Zoe (she/her)

(you may also know me as @audhdwithzoe on social media)

I thought everyone's inner world felt just like mine did.  Growing up in a household where (undiagnosed) ADHD was the norm, how was I supposed to know any different?  It felt physically painful to focus on anything boring, and near impossible to pull myself away when I was deeply interested.  Not being able to start tasks with no real "reason".  I felt like I was simultaneously the most motivated and laziest person in the world.  Without proper support, I went down the path of least resistance, not the path I wanted or felt was right for me.

When I finally got diagnosed, I was hit with a wave of emotions.  At first, the relief.  I finally had the language and framework for understanding myself in a constructive way.  It opened the door for me to begin dissolving the shame and self-hatred around what I could now understand as my ADHD symptoms.  I also experienced the grief that can come alongside a later-in-life diagnosis.  Left wondering how things may be different if I had the understanding, medication, tools and strategies sooner.

I didn't dream of becoming an ADHD coach as a kid, so how did I get here?  Well -- it's been a bit of a journey, to say the least.  I went to University and tried philosophy, then new media.  Then I tried college in a hearing instrument specialist program.  Despite maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I faced systemic barriers in the post- secondary world and realized that it just isn't the right path for me.  I dove into becoming a professional organizer for people with ADHD and chronic disorganization, and realized that I couldn't help people create lasting change unless they had a better handle on their ADHD as a whole.  So here I am!

Learning how to work with my ADHD made all the difference.  I realized trying to "fix" or change myself wasn't the answer.  Through understanding how ADHD works and impacts our brains, we can create a life that supports it.  My mission as an ADHD coach is to walk alongside you in uncovering what works for you.  We will explore your strengths to build a life filled with supportive tools and strategies that actually create positive lasting change.   The first step is a discovery call, I would love to get to know you!
